Terms & Conditions
By making a booking, pre-paying your appointment or buying from Makeup HQ you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
All service prices listed on Makeup HQ website are inclusive of GST and are subject to change with out notice. Rates will be charged in accordance with advertised rates at the time of booking.
Due to the nature of the product, refunds will only be given for someone who has had a reaction to it. No refunds for change of mind of cost of goods sold.
A surcharge of 20% will be incurred for all bookings made before 8am on a Sunday or prior to 7am Monday-Saturday. Any bookings made a day before or on a public holiday ie, Melbourne Cup, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Anzac Day, Easter Weekend will incur a surcharge.
Cancellations for studio appointments need to be made at least 48 hours prior to the appointment. If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours the initial booking fee of 50% will be charged to Makeup HQ as the cancellation fee.
1. Cancellations of 72 Hours or more before your appointment MakeupHQ will provide a credit of the original booking fee which is non-transferable, non-refundable and may be used to rebook your next appointment or can be used to purchase products in store.
2. Less than 24 hours before your appointment MakeupHQ we will retain the total booking fee paid (by way of liquidated damages and loss)
3. We reserve the right to cancel your appointment for any reason at any time without notice to you, we will provide you with another artist for your appointment.
4. If you the client, cancel your appointment due to Governement Restrictions, COVID-19, or unforeseen circumstances, any prepayments made to MAKEUPHQ of more than 10% of the total booking fee (pre-payment) will be retained by MakeupHQ by way of liquidated damages and losses incurred by the company.
5. If you the client can not attend your appointment made due to Government Restrictions, or have contracted or been in near contact with someone or an exposure site of COVID-19, any prepayments made to MakeupHQ, the booking fee made will be retained which can be used by the customer/client as a credit note/voucher/or rescheduling the services at a later date where possible.
5.Refunds will not be given and is solely up to the discretion of MAKEUP HQ PTY LTD
If you do not attend your booked appointments or do not attend the selected service including, 1:1 lesson, masterclasses, or event on the day of the appointment, we will cancel the appointment and retain the booking/pre-payment fee (by way of liquidated damages)
To secure your booking a non-refundable 50% deposit is required. Your booking isn’t secured until your booking has been made. This can be done by calling or coming into the salon to make the payment or by direct deposit.
Once the booking has been made & the deposit is taken, any cancellation or changes to the size of the bridal party will incur additional charges. If the booking is downsized after it has been confirmed, you will be charged the original price quoted to cover the loss of other bridal parties turned away for the same date.
Minimum call out fee of $300 spend. Makeup HQ will not come out for 1 person. Services must be 4 or more.
Holding date deposits are non-refundable/non-transferable after 7 days.
Early morning fee of $50 per hour will apply to start times of 6:30am or earlier.
Travel fees will apply. This will be charged at $1 per km (on the day of the wedding) after 10kms from my Brunswick studio and return, this includes tolls.
If getting ready at Hotel/CBD you will need to ensure that parking is readily available at the location. Parking fees will apply and are payable upon arrival.
Booking dates for Public Holidays or their associated weekend, including the Queens Birthday, Melbourne Cup, will incur a 30% surcharge fee of total booking.
All products have been described with the best endeavours to provide accurate information including details, descriptions and images.
Delivery is only available within Australia.
Makeup HQ will ensure orders received will be packed and sent within 24 hours of receipt.
Please note that if an order is made after 12pm on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and a Public Holidays, these orders will be processed and sent by Tuesday.
Makeup HQ bears no responsibility for the delay of delivery once we have processed and submitted to Australia Post.
Acceptance of Goods
It is the customer's duty to inspect and notify Makeup HQ if there are any issues with the goods within a 24 hour period. Contact can be made via our contact form. If no contact has been made within the 24 hour period, it will be deemed that the goods have been accepted as per the arrived condition.
Returns & Exchanges
Makeup HQ do not offer returns or exchanges on any items due to change of mind of for reasons that the product does not suit their skin tone colour.
If the products are deemed faulty, damaged or defective you are permitted to submit a request for return. Upon inspection, if agreed we will kindly replace for a non-defective item or a full refund on the price.
A NON-REFUNDABLE UPFRONT PAYMENT is required to confirm your spot within the course. All course fees are required to be paid in full 5 days prior to course commencement otherwise your position will be cancelled
No refund for course fees paid – it is the policy of MAKEUP HQ to NOT issue refunds for any course fees paid. The enrolled student/financier acknowledges that these arrangements are reasonable having regard to the difficulties of enrolling cancelled places at such short notice and the significant costs incurred administering cancelled enrolments.
Once a course has commenced the enrolled student/financier is required to fulfill their financial obligations and pay the entire course fees even if they do not or can not complete the course for ANY reason. Pro starter kit remains the sole property of Makeup HQ until all fees have been paid.
If an enrolled student who is unable to commence or continue a course of study for which they have enrolled, wishes to undertake a course in future, the student will be required to re-apply for re-enrolment without receiving a credit for previously paid fees
Any fees paid to MAKEUP HQ may be transferable at the discretion of the director
MAKEUP HQ reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule courses.
If the total class number is less than a minimum of 2 students, the class may be cancelled, postponed or rescheduled.
In the event a class is cancelled, students would be offered a refund or alternatively a transfer to an alternate course.
MAKEUP HQ reserves the right to change (in accordance with Competition and Consumer Act 2010) course delivery structure.
Upon enrolment students are required to commit to and attend all scheduled hours of the course. 100% Attendance is required to qualify for a MAKEUP HQ Certificate of Attendance. If a catch up lesson is needed this will incur a fee of $75 Per Hour at a minimum of 2 hours.
Makeup HQ reserves the right to remove students from the course who fail to meet minimum course requirements, which are further outlined within the Student Information Handbook.
Any illness, disability and/Enrolled participants are encouraged to disclose to MakeupHQ of
or learning disability that may involve accommodations or additional support. This will help us ensure that participants have the best possible experience. Makeup HQ welcomes applicants with a disability and are bound by the Privacy Act so information will only be disclosed to relevant personnel for purposes of general participant administration, planning and communication.
No enrolments can be deferred to another course
Deferrals of courses enrolled rest on the Director's discretion and deferral requests are to be submitted in writing.
NON-ATTENDANCE- If a student does not attend the first day of the course without any prior notice, all deposits and payments paid are non-refundable. Deferrals will not be accepted under these circumstance. Your enrollment will be withdrawn from Makeup HQ.
MakeupHQ will allow 7 days for student deferrals or confirmation of course attendance for the remaining duration of there course. If there is no communication received from the student within the specified 7 day period, all deposits and payments are non-refundable and you will be automatically withdrawn from the course.
You must be 16 years of age or over to be eligible for this course.
11. All Credit Cards will incur a surcharge of 1.9% per transaction.
