Hi, I’m Sara, founder of MakeupHQ, a luxury makeup and hair studio based in Brunswick, Melbourne.

My makeup journey began in 2001, where I completed my Diploma of Makeup with a clear vision — to help people feel beautiful, confident, and truly themselves.
In 2018, MakeupHQ was born as a space where glowing skin, soft glam, and timeless hair come together.
​
My approach is simple: enhanced, never overdone — “you, but elevated.” I’m a perfectionist by nature, and that attention to detail flows into every bridal look I create, ensuring you feel flawless both in person and on camera.

Alongside weddings, I continue to work on television productions and backstage at Fashion Week, but my heart is always with my brides. Being part of your wedding day is an honour I never take lightly — from creating a calm, seamless morning to making sure you feel radiant walking down the aisle.

Our Team.
Our Team at Makeup HQ is made up of Head Principle artist Sara Morrison who has 25 years of hair and makeup experience, as well as 4 Senior artists with over 7 years of industry experience.

Sara did my wedding hair and makeup and her work and her team were outstanding. She kept us all relaxed and made the morning fun and enjoyable. I chose the airbrush makeup which looked and felt beautiful on my skin and I looked natural but a little more glam.
